Travel
Destination Vancouver has much information that you might find helpful as you plan your trip.
By Air
If you're arriving by air, you'll most likely be flying into Vancouver International Airport (YVR). YVR is located about 35 minutes from the conference venue, the Westin Bayshore Vancouver.
Travel preparation:
If you are arriving from outside of Canada to participate in the IMGC, you may want to look at the requirements and pre-fill out some of the information needed so that your entrance time into Canada is as short as possible. https://travel.gc.ca/travel-covid/travel-restrictions/wizard-start will give you up-to-date information on the requirements.
Find out if you can enter Canada - Travel.gc.ca
As you read through this you will come to "Requirements for Entering Canada" which will take you to

As of now, if you are arriving from outside of Canada, you will need to use ArriveCAN (app) upon arrival at your first Canadian airport. You most likely will want to pre-register your passport and vaccination status on ArriveCAN. (You can do this now). Filling out your travel information within 72 hours prior to your arrival date is supposed to save you time at arrival.
IMGC requests:
In order to ensure the health and safety of all attendees, at this time, the organizing committee strongly recommends that Face Masks be worn in all indoor settings, and in crowded outdoor settings. In order to further protect each other and, after consulting several Health Professionals, we also recommend that attendees either take a COVID PCR Test within 72 hours or a rapid Antigen test within 48 hours before traveling so that if you test positive and can't attend the IMGC, you can request a virtual registration (and a partial refund). We strongly recommend that participants bring your own rapid tests to the meeting. For those coming from the US, rapid test kits are available at most US pharmacies and covered by most US insurance plans.
The IMGC will provide masks for any who want one and will have a very small number of rapid Antigen tests for a participant in an imminent situation.
