1. Travel Scholarships

Travel Scholarships are offered to trainees (students or postdocs) to participate in the IMGC.

The International Mammalian Genome Society Scholarships support meeting costs for students and postdocs. The scholarships will cover the cost of registration and a room at the Travelodge (about a 15 minute walk from the conference venue) for five nights. Some travel funds may also be available.

To be eligible:

  1. You must be a current IMGS member (memberships are complimentary; visit Join for more information).

  2. You must have an abstract selected for a poster or talk.

To apply for the 38th IMGC in Glasgow, Scotland (April 6-9, 2025)

A) Send an email to imgsgeneral@gmail.com before January 10, 2025 containing:

1-Your name

2-Your contact information (Institution, address, email address)

3-Whether you are a Student or Post doc

4-Whether you identify as a Underrepresented Groups (URGS).

5-Whether you identify as Male, Female, or Other.

6-Your supervisor/lab head’s name and email address

7-A copy of your abstract

B) Submit your abstract through imgs.org before January 10, 2025.

C) Register for the meeting at imgs.org before January 10, 2025

Please use the registration option “For invited speakers or Scholarship applicants”. If you are not awarded a scholarship, IMGS will invoice you for your registration fee.

A maximum of one IMGS scholarship will be awarded per lab. MNMGN may be able to offer additional scholarships, but all scholarship applications will be evaluated together, so follow above procedure.

URGS are especially encouraged to apply.
