The abstract submission deadline is August 10, 2015 under the following themes:
- Advances in gene editing
- Epigenomics and noncoding RNAs
- Genomics and Computational Analysis
- Human disease models
- Large-scale resources
- Neuroscience and Development
- Stem cells
Please note the following important instructions:
- All abstracts should be submitted in English using Latin characters.
- Authors will be advised of the Reviewers decision by September 24, 2015.
- Please note: All presenters (poster or oral) will be required to pay the full registration fee.
Note regarding Nomenclature: In an effort to raise awareness and improve consistency, a member of The International Committee on Standardized Genetic Nomenclature for Mice will be editing all submitted abstracts for the proper use of gene and protein nomenclature. No changes other than nomenclature usage will be made. Corrected abstracts will be sent back to authors for review. Please refer to the Mouse Genome Informatics (MGI) website for official mouse nomenclature, and the MGI Nomenclature Homepage under Additional Resources for links to the HUGO Gene Nomenclature and the Rat Genome Database websites.
Nomenclature for other species can be found at NCBI Entrez Gene. Student posters will once again be judged for nomenclature and a prize awarded for "Nomenclature Excellence".
Checking in your Presentation
Each presenter should check in his/her presentation at least four hours before he/she is due to present. It is recommended that you bring your presentation on a USB memory stick. Presenters do not need to bring a laptop as presentations will be loaded onto a main computer.
Only computer presentations can be accepted.
NB If there are movie clips included in your presentation you must bring the original movie files as well as the PowerPoint file, otherwise your movie clips will not run.
Please make your way to the room in which you are presenting, a minimum of ten minutes prior to the start of the session. This will allow you to meet with the Chair of your session.
Keeping to Time
The program is very tight and it is imperative that the sessions run on time.
Authors are reminded that the dimensions of the displays are 84.1 cm wide x 118.9cm tall (=A0 size). Please prepare your poster in a portrait (vertical) format. Please note that a supply of push pins will be available at the venue. No screws or double-sided adhesive tape will be allowed as they damage the boards.
Posters can be put up on starting at 9AM on the day of presentation, but due to the large number of abstracts, will need to be removed by 7:30 PM the evening of presentation. Authors should be by their boards to discuss their poster at the following times:
Odd Poster Numbers
- Poster Session 1 - Monday, November 9, 3:30 to 5:30 PM
Even Poster Numbers
- Poster Session 2 - Tuesday, November 10, 3:30 to 5:30 PM
